HOWEVER....
nice to know I can go to lunch with girls at The Tides, on Nahant in the afternoon for refreshments though! We laughed so much.....about.....what do you think? Phew!
Did I mention that I've had more company stay with me this summer than EVAHH? Thank you gang. I love it. Too bad for them they have to sleep on a queen-size blow up mattress. If only they waited a bit more, then I would have had the futon, but it's all about my location and me so who cares?!
Nancy, get ready for the wharf leap and paddle boarding next week! Oh and ZOOMA (www.zoomarun.com ) girls run on Monday night in Boston!
Ladies, sign up for Sept 28th in Falmouth. See my link on sidebar and get a discount. Enter Nancy's code!!
Anywhooo.....
*Training continues. 30-35 mi a week
(cut back this week though).
*Tri dips continue.
*Back to cycling.
I love summer! Heading north today to Kennenbunkport to cousin's. Then South Portland for weekend to Mark and Chris's. Here I come Sweet Bakery! My car seems to know the way.
5 mi race on Peak's Island (ferry from Portland). Yay!!! A short one!
No internet service on my cell in Maine. Oh well (Yes Gina, I am changing the service AND the phone).
BTW....love my new ipod nano in green. It only took me 3 hrs, 2 teenagers, and a call to Apple to sort it out. Yup, leave it to Ms. Untechnical:)
Meantime, I go to get all of the gadgets and I'm standing there with bikinis and bras and the kid who's helping me says, "I know you, you're Ms. Weiner, I can tell by your smile and hair, don't you remember me? I'm a sophomore in high school now...you were awesome Ms. W."
I hid the bras and bikinis quickly behind my back, apologized for swearing, cocked my head to the side in cuteness, and said, "Of course I remember you A!" Oh brother...4th grader at the time....but truthfully, I do remember him. He struggled but such a good kid. He said, "I promise I'm not getting into trouble but high school is hard."
A, "Please do your best and go for help if you can, I'm proud of you....you are a young man and glad to see you have a job."
A photographer took this photo prior to the race. I love it!
And btw...those who didn't hear me cheer, I placed 1st in age div. Slow time, but it's still 1st out of 11. Overall place: 163/333.
Sorry Stu, I "chicked" you again. I did get you going for 8:30 pace though! Love you!!
