I'm almost to 100 miles of running for February, and my body is feeling it. I think it's time for a rest and recharge the 'ol batteries:) I'm thinking if I get into the NYC marathon, I'll take a break for a week or two and let my back take a break. I know I can run the marathon, it's a mental game, but if I plan right and rest, I think I'll be able to pick up my speed again. It was an awesome run today along Lynn Shore Drive. The sun felt great on my face and added additional wrinkles with every step I ran. Ok...I need to keep adding sunblock, and I will. Oh yeah, skipped the ten miler in Foxboro. I just didn't have it in me...mentally and physically. OF COURSE I DID get in a ten mile run, later in the day.
BTW....I'm reading a terrific book of short stories: Rope Burns by FX Toole. Two of the stories are based on the movie Million Dollar Baby.
