Running in FLA.... Birthday in FLA....

How wonderful to leave the cold and snow behind to spend my birthday in Ft Myers, FLA. Brian and I had a great time. My birthday was spent on the beach on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We saw dolphins feeding right off shore and did some major bird watching (ospreys, pelicans, eagles, egrets, herons, and wood storks). Mojito's and Wine were plentiful, but of course, my day began with a 6 mile run. Each day was between 75 and 80 degrees. Shorts and tank shirts were the running attire for my winter trip. We were supposed to fly home on Tues but due to a storm.....YES.....we were stuck....YAHOO. Brian wasn't happy (too bad too sad). Life is short...chill man. I was SOOOOOOO happy, because as my skin burned and tanned, I knew I could run 2 extra days wearing summer running clothes....priceless.
