It felt worse than the 15.5 miles from last week! Notice my bubba keg? Love that from Christmas Tree Shops!!
So here's my thing, after reading about master/elite runner Deena Kastor and how she takes ice baths after she runs, in her clothes...I had to try it. I've done it a couple of times and it does feel great!
I know...I know....most running experts say ice after running but a hot tub soak feels good too!!
What do you think?
Thanks to Vineyards Vines (www.vineyardvines.com) , I have a few whalehead pics(long overdue). We love VV!! Shep and Ian (CEO's) donate A LOT to various communities and a portion of what you buy also goes to charities.
Check out the cuties:)
NEXT SUNDAY: Ten years later.......
In rememberance of 9/11, I took this photo of a billboard in Bourne, MA. There's a flag flying above it (not in pic).
Glad you and Nancy made it through your 13 miles. Head winds! We had them coming back on our bike ride yesteday... hard, yes! And no good on the sailboat either.
ReplyDeleteThose whaleheads are so cute. Love these pics... and the one of you with the huge smile on your face.
Ice baths? Haven't done that. I know tennis players do them too.. I am afraid of my legs cramping up in the cold.
Hey thanks for the follow!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't too sure about the whole ice bath thing, but then I finally tried one and now I'm a complete convert! My kids think I'm crazy..but then again, what else is new :)
