Being brief....buster began....back on the road.....Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am back to running, slowly but surely. Actually, I still feel a little burned out since the NYC marathon. The HBBC (Run to the Finish) is a nice way to get motivated again.
I spent more time spinning last week, but once the weekend arrived, I hit the pavement.

HBBC points: 16 for running
1 for reading a book for an hour (finished Born to Run....ok.....in my opinion (imo).

I'm so happy Thanksgiving is Thursday. It's my favorite holiday (besides my birthday...ha! ha!).
It will be at my parents house, with the bros and their families.
I plan to run my own turkey trot. I don't feel like running a race, plus I've spent a fortune this year on races. No pressure.
I'm very thankful for my family, especially my mom and dad. My dad was honored at the synagogue yesterday for his outstanding contribution to the community, synagogue, and all of the other organizations he particapates in. I gave a speech from the heart and did everything I could to fight tears. I'm proud of him.
Dad was a runner for many years and a cyclist!

Will you eat turkey or something different on Thanksgiving?

  3. That is so nice that you got to do a tribute to your Father where he was being publicly honored. Love that.

Hope you had a good rest after your awesome performance at the NYC Marathon.

We had Thanksgiving in Canada when you were having Columbus Day.

    Like the new blog look!

Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy your turkey trot!
