Thurs Thoughts (besides losing my marbles)

First, I am not running a marathon in a Buddy the Elf costume. Kaput. Done. Not!
Second, I am not joining the Marathon Maniacs. NOT! Now that I cleared that up......
**Go to Jen's blog to see her ArmPocket giveaway!!

Next, here are random thoughts, besides that I feel like the kids are making me lose it:
 - Hanukkah is Thanksgiving weekend. Whatever.....it's about giving for me. But I'd really like those Go USA mittens!
 - Bought gas for 3.19...cheap around here.
 - Lost 2 pounds, and I really don't know how but I did.
 - New necklace from Free People (pic below)
 - Only ran 13 miles last week and ended Oct with 118.5, good enough (I'm just over 1200 for the year so far (Big friggin' deal right?).
 - My first grader J thinks my wrinkles are beautiful no matter what.
 - A few of my colleagues suddenly have me on the matchmaking radar (don't usually discuss my private life but it came up in conversation). Nice to have the gals looking out for me.
 - I'm freaking out about the Fenway Spartan next Saturday. I'm planking, tri dipping, doing push ups, using weights, and jogging up and down hills (bleachers oh no!!!). The team looks good!! Carolyn joined us (John's friend, our Team Capt) so I have her to lean onto, but I understand she's a Spartan kick ass beast!! All good fun. Flurries expecting (according to Nicholas (Run Streak....yeah you're a beast too!).

 - Music....YUP this chick FINALLY figured out how to put iTunes on her new Nano on her Mac. Laugh.... go ahead, but my good friends tease the heck out of me and I love it.
New Nano songs:
Mike Doughty, my new favorite, The Idiot Kings and Looking up from the Bottom of a Well (from the soundtrack, Grey's Anatomy).
Eddie Veder (Pearl Jam), a master lyricist....Sirens, brilliant song.
Split Enz - One Step Ahead
Jayhawks - Blue

 - Not running a Turkey race this year. Sleeping in.
 - New favorite shows....Chicago Fire and The Good Wife.
 - Looking for a trip for Xmas week,
 - Don't care about running right now, but as dad always said, "This too shall pass."

Random Pics......                                                                              Love my Chicago Marathon hat

 Gina being funny.

Simone and me from the summer exhibits at the new wing at the Museum of Fine Arts. She's an art teacher and a topnotch one at that!! Glass leaf sculpture in background.

That's it. Peace out. Long weekend.
REMEMBER, it's Veteran's Day on Monday. Please be respectful and thankful.

  2. Why so strongly anti- MM? Dues are cheap, nobody getting rich off it. Celebrates achievements of both fast and slow alike....
