Storm Ahead!! Just run and chill.

This New England weather BLOWS, a mighty blow! I thought maybe I'd get to crank up the mileage but this weather is doing me a favor so I'll rest. I'm eating too many cookies, chocolate, and sipping lovely libations though. I'll keep running, then marathon training in new year. I'm really looking forward to 2014. A lot of good stuff ahead.
I made it out this morning in 10-12 degrees with light winds and thankfully 5.25 miles later, I felt good. My face was a bit stiff. If this is the weather now, so help me what Jan on will be like!!

Next Chilly Challenge continues, and the downward dog was it! Holy Moly I'm amazed I could make and hold the stretch as long as I did. This was AFTER I shoveled with dad!!
Mom - Photographer. She's getting better! It's amazing how far I've come since I've gone back to stretching and yoga.

As school winds down this week, I wanted to share 2 favorite children's books. I always laugh reading these, as I watch the kids faces and laugh at my own story telling. So if you need a gift for a youngster, check these out.
My 4th graders love these books as much as my little guys:
"Mr. Fuzzy Pants", "Mr. Kitten Britches", "Mr. Cocopugs" (names mother cat calls him). He is the cat, who jumps on his "big boy bed" only to see himself in the mirror as something else, and who finds adventures as he walks through his closet (reminds me of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe).
Jillie Boo is his sister, who is a trouble maker...hmmm sounds a little familiar.
Up Next: Scrambled Legs and Bacon endurance event Friday (which I plan to run and indoor cycle).
Then.....PAH-TEE (party translation) with my West Wing teacher pals from Lynn and we sure know how to do that.
Mom's birthday....Shopping with Simone....and getting my birthday wishlist together!! (trail shoes are on the list).
