Nancy and I had a photo opportunity since we ARE the Plank Buddies. It was so nice to have a chance to visit her, Emma, and Adam on Sat. night. Brian took the photos while we laughed our heads off! Here we are in our high plank position. OK, so my butt shouldn't be so far in the air. LOL! We are in our varied side plank positions too:)

Sunday was sailing day on Buzzard's Bay. Brian was "shaking" out The Phoenix with her new propeller (for when we have to use the engine), a new stereo system, and me at the helm (for a short while). We only had the Jib out but that was enough for me. I sailed at 4 knots....wow...record-breaking speed! Learning to sail is part of my New Year's resolution. It was foggy but finally the sun broke through, and it was beautiful out on the water.
LONG RUN ACCOMPLISHED! So after weeks of flared up injuries and a bout of food poisoning, I was thrilled to run 10 miles. I took my time. I'm glad I did because I felt healthy at the end. Brian bought a hot tub (my NYC marathon present...but really a present for him too...don't let him fool you). It was wonderful to be able to relax in that after the run:)
The planks look like way more fun with a buddy!
ReplyDeleteNice thatyou got out for a sail! I like having just the headsail up too as it is so much easier. 4 knots is very respectable. Wahoooo!
