We ended on Boylston St. I texted DZ and called Gina from Marathon Sports. Stu and Cindy were busy so couldn't reach them, but Karen kept talking to me so I wouldn't break down. Didn't want to worry mum and dad. No call.
I cried when I went to sleep. Tears had to come out. Couldn't help it.
I thought to myself, "Be patient Jill, everything will be okay."
So my day began with a BOOM (packing up at school...bye L-T;()
It ended with kindness and a sense of relief (and a few tears).
Happy July 4th everyone! Karen leaves tomorrow. I'll see her and hubby John in April 2014.
But for today she'll hang with a Colonist, a Patriot.
Happy 4th Jill... have been thinking about you and your return to the city you love.
ReplyDeleteWe almost had a similar incident here in my city on July 1st Canada Day. The police picked up 3 pressure cooker bombs that did not detonate at our provincial legislature building. We were there - so lucky in our instance.
Happy Birthday America.
Happy 4th Jill!
