The Sunshine Award...a little more about me.

I always loved that song by Stevie Wonder "You are the Sunshine of My Life".  I played the 45 over and over again (yeah...sign of my age).

It has taken time to regain my sunshine and now Elle thinks I bring sunshine to people, and to me, that's what truly counts. If I can give a little bit on a daily basis, I've done my job.
So here's what she is asking, that she wants to learn, a little more about me and share with others.

Best Childhood Memory
Playing running bases on the street with my brothers and their friends, then riding our bikes to go get ice cream or to the penny candy store.  If Zadie (grandfather in Yiddish) was watching us, he'd always give us money. Then I'd give him a big hug (I loved him very much. A man with a jr high edu who was the smartest man I knew....who didn't have to say a lot to know what he WAS saying).

Nicest Time of the Year
Anytime, but I think the snow is starting to get to me, especially after this year's blizzard. My landlords were away and I shoveled until my neighbor came over to plow me out.

Favorite Flower
Ok....I have a few....tulips, hyacinths, and sunflowers.

Scary Food You Would Never Taste
Bugs

Zodiac Sign
Aquarius

The Spice That Describes Me
Cinnamon, sometimes ginger

Snooze Button or Jump Out of Bed
Well......that would depend if I had company (LOL).
Absolutely am the type to jump out of bed (and maybe he'd chase me out or hold me close or maybe we'd jump out and run together).

Morning Drink
Iced coffee (turbo) and sometimes hot coffee. Water on the side. Now if it's a Sunday out with friends for brunch or a date, probably a bloody mary or champagne.

Song(s) That Means Something to You
Somewhere (West Side Story) and The Way We Were (Barbra Streisand); God Only Knows (Beach Boys); The Glory of Love (Peter Cetera from Karate Kid II).

Secret Crush
Troy Brown (former New England Patriot; a smiley, adorable, classy guy).
Paul Newman (need I say more?...I know he's gone, but I always adored him; true class).

Life is hard as it is, so be kind. You never know the difference you're making.

  1. Haha! Did you say "45"!? You are telling your age! At least you didn't say 8 track. :) Also, the Karate Kid? Wow, that's a classic. I myself am partial to You're The Best (ahahhhh, nothings gonna ever take me down)!
