Stupidity Tries, in October...into Nov.

Elliott Smith (aka the Good Will Hunting song guy) wrote this great song, Stupidity Tries. There's a lot of meaning in the lyrics but the melody and music is wonderful.
So, speaking of stupidity.....people call me crazy and yes, some call me stupid because of running 2 marathons 2 weeks apart in October. It wasn't the most clever thing to do, but I liked the challenge. I am grateful however, for the people who supported and continue to support me.

The latest Boston Marathon non-stop news due to the Red Sox just put me into an emotional tailspin. I was going to go into the Red Sox parade with my friend Simone and anxiety crept in. Instead, Simone met me at the mall and we shopped and had one drink. That's all I could handle.
I haven't been sleeping; tossing and turning and some tears, but my gal pals and cousin Ellen have been great listeners and there for me as I ride my roller coaster. Perhaps the Spartan Fenway will wake and shake me? Change is a good thing.

Anywhooooo....yesterday I made it through 10 miles for Laura's Fall virtual races (and oh man! It was SLOW!). I wore my City Sports shirt (below) which I love from their vintage line (I dig vintage stuff anyway). Then in honor of the NYC marathon, had to put on my other City Sports shirt "Run the Bridges".  I loved that marathon...maybe I need to run it again? Lottery here I come....AGAIN!

My little buddy Emma sharing (Nancy's daughter) and my big Buddy whose movie I adore! And in between, my two favorite hats from the marathons. I didn't buy the traditional Cape Cod one, but Wears Woody with the map of Cape Cod. Love it with the mesh back.

Why do I show Buddy?
Roxanne is challenging me to wear the costume while running a marathon. UGH...not really me, although I'd wear a tutu, but I'll try. I said 100 likes on FB, a martini, and some cheering is necessary, PLUS any small donation to my cancer charity AND I'll wear the costume in the bar:)
***I'm still thinking.

For my Skype buds...I'm out; Face time in:)
