Time to say ciao to November. It was a slow month but the Spartan Fenway was my highlight. It kicked my effin' tushie, after two marathons 3 weeks prior.
I wanted to give my body a rest so 65 miles running; 15 miles of bike riding; A LOT of tricep dips; many minutes of planking, bench push ups, and finally, stretching. So long Nov.!

I've been trying to get back to stretching and my usual yoga poses, but for a petite, muscle compact body, it's hard (that too). I am determined to stretch daily, even if it's briefly.
Here's what else is up…..a chair pose. Who knows?? I tried to follow directions and squatted the best I could!!

Do I have the strength for this month's mileage? You bet I do. Merry Half coming up on Sunday.
I won't be fast and that's ok.
5 miles to start the month off in the pouring rain and cold!!!

Now to other happenings:
Mom made great latkes but I did get luc-keee (haha) in the presents department, as the tribal party was a blast (so was my first Italian Thanksgiving).
All I know is….
* I'm happy it's December, an early good bye to 2013.
* I'm happy that I can close out this year of incredible feats (and downers). Mum and Dad, you are my heroes. Thanks R.B. for the new position (Linden School, Malden, MA) too.
* I'm happy that I'm learning to let of go of useless stuff and people.
* I'm happy that I have great friends and family who helped me through the Boston Marathon monster, and can ring in 2014 with a new look on life. Yes, we shall return to the finish line (Gina and Cindy…and we're staying in the city!! YAY!!).
* I'm happy that 2014 is close by, and I'm looking forward to new things, new places to be, new people in my life, and a marathon…..or two……another Spartan Fenway, and YES…….A TRIATHLON! (and Mark, I will swim Peaks to Portland, I will….I will…..I will…..).
That's what she said
