Chica Bands - There's something new on their website!! Besides the headbands (love) and The Chiller, check out the Seat Hero (this product is trademarked). A lot of holiday specials happening on their site so click on and head over!
The gals sent me one to product test because around the holidays, everyone is looking for something creative for the sporty person, and it's reasonably priced! I wrote to them because I was so happy with the head bands I ordered and have given them as gifts.
Truthfully, I'm just a simple towel kind of gal but this is well worth the money (my opinion).
All of them come in white with various colors to choose from on the piping (orange, navy, denim, pink gingham, pink, orange, and turquoise.
For a little more money, you can get a monogram one with the word "Run" on the headrest.
Details as follows (from website):
- waterproof and sweatproof fabric; machine washable (I did not put it in the dryer).
- secure, nonslip to fit most bucket seats (fits snug over headrest and seat back (plenty of fabric to cover seat, allowing some fabric to lay over close to floor).
- innovative design that allows it to fold into a bag for easy transport and storage.

Some bits of info, from the trenches:
Sometimes I feel like a rock star at school. Those moments are rare, (it's not why I do this job) but when they pop out, it's the best feeling in the world.
To be told: "You're the best and you rock"
"Thanks for caring about me"
"Ms. Weiner, you deserve a hug because everyone deserves a hug sometimes"
"I would give you the world Ms.W. if I had enough money"
"Don't leave us EVAH', because we need you even when we're naughty"
Really...out of the mouths of babes!
But this has been a particularly difficult week and I still need to get through tomorrow. I won't go into details, but teaching and nurturing about 400 or more students a week can be daunting, yet a positive challenging task. With Xmas fast approaching, I can see anxiety in many faces (believe it or not).
When a few children throw you a curve ball, one can only take a deep breath and pray no one gets hurt, including me. Then I have children who are mentally and physically challenged (Down's Syndrome for example). Those students make you realize, life is good. I have a few in wheelchairs too. The library is a merry-go-round so by the end of the day, I'm shattered (but thankfully, I have the best mentor!!).
I love this job, I love my students, and I know that every vacation and weekend that arrives, I'm thrilled to regroup my brain and body. I'm doing the best I can, rock star or not life goes on...
Now when can I retire?? Hmmmmm....dog walking in my future???
Due up: Chilly Challenge report and Sunday's recap of the Holiday Half with the 2.62 mile kicker to start. John is joining me for this race (Spartan Fenway Capt....his first half marathon!).
Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!
