Tues Toots: Donate? and a Spring Fling

See the top right side...you can still donate to help me reach my goal.

It took me long enough but this was my 4th race (A virtual one) for the #14in2014 series. I wanted it to be a half marathon, so I used my time from my 20 miler on March 23rd. UGH UGH UGH.....2:30:33.
There are great prizes!!!! Fingers crossed. Thanks Jill for sponsoring.

Why do I want to toot my horn?
Toot #1 - If you haven't donated to my charity, in memory of Mitch and Max, please do....however small or large, I really do appreciate it. Link on the top right sidebar.
Thank you to Dunks for donating 2 gift cards and a couple more to come. I will do those drawings after the marathon.

Toot #2 - I have students who are cheering me on as one week from tonight I will board the British Airways flight (and hopefully get an upgrade), and sleep overnight to be greeted the following morning in baggage claim by my friend Chris (who will be flying in from South Africa because she is a flight attendant for BA). It's hard to believe but I've known Christina:) since 1991 when I moved to England (Feb 1991). I've also know Karen since 1991.

Chris organized a girls get together where I will see my old friends from the RAF squadron!! But first, we will see about a 6K run.....as that is HER distance. I'll see Karen on Friday (her husband John was my ex's Squadron Leader....so excited to be with them too). Karen was with me this past summer for a week! (See summer post from July).

Life does funny things as my brain jumps back to my time in England....being at Cambridge for 10 months as a Jr in college ('82-83) and being married ('91). I'm listening to the music from that time and going through old photos.
Running around London will be wonderful and don't ask how fast I'll run, because I'll be a snail. It's not important.

Thank you Will Shakes.....I hope to battle fiercely and I know M & M did, but lost.
I know I can for them.
