London: More than just the marathon (Pt 1)

Let's start with England. My London marathon and time with friends. Chris and Tim and children, and then with Karen (who visited me this past summer).

So much fun running near their home and having friends visit.

How about planes flying over us?? Yup reminded me of RAF days (146 aeroplane).
Saw the Hercules plane and the Tornadoe and Hawk too.

Salisbury, the Expo, a fun rooftop bar next to St Paul's cathedral, Selfridges, the musical Billy Elliott....fabulous!
And then the marathon!  Not that fast but I finished and am very happy that I did, as many people were struggling (it got unexpectedly warm that even I stopped to get rid of my long sleeved shirt).

Below, The Expo entrance that was cool and that was about all unfortunately. The tee shirt was given at the end, one size fits all.....WTF.....it is huge as you'll see in my champagne photo!

Very few marathon posters around, but I saw a few in the Tube stations (below). I guess marathon hype isn't very British. Oh well. Many of us received a tee shirt that is a 'one size fits all'. (As you'll see in my champagne pic later).
